Abstract/Notes Proportion of defect products are 0,34%, with 73.7% of total defect products is leak cup. Thus, the main effort to increase productivity is reduce the amount of leaking cup produced by sealer machine. Design of experiments is conducted using Response Surface Methodology and Central Composite Design. The optimal values are : Cup Type A ( supplied by PT.Indopack ) , the heater I temperature is 256.9 °C and the heater II temperature is 258.48 oC. with predicted number of leaking cup is 0.86 . Using this setting, proportion of defect products dropped dramatically to 0,048 %.
