Abstract/Notes Soybean (Glycine max) is known as a protein-rich crop and one of the main crops cultivated in Indonesia. Soil nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphate and potassium are very important for its growth and development. Soil nutrients are also known to have effects on soybean chlorophyll concentration. The chlorophyll concentration can be measured with non-destructive and/or destructive methods. In this paper, we designed a low cost multispectral imaging system and used it to measure the chlorophyll concentration of soybean leaf non-destructively. This method has some advantages, i.e. rapid, easy, cheap, and has a low impact to damaging the measured sample. Here we developed a multispectral imaging system that combines two images of different spectral range, i.e. ~isible (Red, Green, and Blue) and NIR (Near Infra-Red). Both images were processed using NOVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) formula to produce NOVI index. Our result showed NOVI index has a strong relationship with the concentration of chlorophylls and nitrogen in soybean leaf. This method can be used as an alternative for measuring chlorophyll and nitrogen concentration particularly in soybean leaf
